MRFU to Celebrate 75 Years

To All Bombers,
Please read the notice below about the MRFU 75th Anniversary Banquet to be held on May 31. As we are the premier club in the MRFU, I think that it would be befitting of our status to have the best showing of club members at this event. John Wolf and I, as MRFU Directors, will be an attendance and I hope that you can clear your calendar to make it also. The MRFU last held a celebration for their 50th and (I'm dating myself here) it was a great event. This one should be no different. Please consider it and respond to me or Marsha Birkby with your RSVP's. Let's show the MRFU that we are the best and have a great showing.

Dear Member Clubs, Old Boys and Old Girls,

On Saturday, May 31, 2008, the MRFU will celebrate its 75th Anniversary at the Crowne Plaza St. Louis, Clayton, 7750 Carondelet, Clayton, MO 63105. The event will begin at 5:00pm, with dinner at 6:30pm followed by a Program. The cost will be $36.00 per person and $65.00 per couple.

Written invitations are being mailed to everyone for whom the Union has a current address. The Union asks each Club to forward, to the address below, a list of the names and addresses of its current members AND Old Boys and Old Girls (either snail mail or email) as soon as possible. We also request you publish this letter on your website and/or forward it by email to your current and old boys or girls list. An Invitation will also be published on the Morugby.org website. Responses to the invitations are requested as soon as possible, but no later than March 30th.

The Union will publish a 75th Anniversary Book, "We Still Have Fun Doing It", in conjunction with this event. The last history update was the 40th Anniversary in 1973. This history will be incorporated in the 75th Book, but, since that year, many clubs have disbanded, started up, or come and gone. For this Book to be complete, we ask ALL clubs (current and past) to provide an update of their history AND a current photo (either last fall or this spring) with names (first initial and last name). Please feel free to submit for publication all other items such as unique photos, news clippings, highlights of and accolades to a Club or its All Stars, recollections of the game as it used to be, memorials for those deceased - in ither words, all information readers will find enjoyable to remember and to keep. This information must be received NO LATER THAN MARCH 30 (PREFERABLY ASAP).
Please send all information, advertisements, photos, and questions to:
