Boston, MA - April 26, 2008 The Bombers traveled to Boston to visit the previously undefeated Boston Rugby Club. With a quick start the Bombers struck first with a penalty kick from flyhalf Conail Boyd. Boston crossed the try line first, though, despite a superb defensive effort from St. Louis. With two more tries in the half, Boston led at the break, 19-3. The second half went much the same as the first with the Bombers put in a solid performance, but Boston taking better advantage of their scoring chances. St. Louis received tries from hooker Josh Witten and lock Craig Clark, both after patient well-executed forward play. Flyhalf Conail Boyd added a conversion. When the final whistle blew, Boston remained unbeaten with a 36-15 victory. Clark, flanker Jason Lamborn and lock Ben Meyers had strong games in the forwards. Conail Boyd, center Simon Moate and wing Tim Stolarski went well in the backs. BOS 36 STL 15: tries 2- Josh Witten, Craig Clark. pens 1- Conail Boyd. cons 1- Conail Boyd. |
