The first 5 minutes into the match between Park City Haggis (Salt Lake City, Utah) and your St. Louis Bombers was foreshadowing for what was to be a steam-roll match. At the lovely Chicago Blaze field #1, St. Louis quickly amassed nearly 40 unanswered points in the first half behind Nick Feakes' multiple tires and Eric Davidson's silver boot on the conversions. Half-time showed the score at 38-0 and you could feel the collective breath of relief over everyone involved, even the water-carriers and Tee-men were breathing hard!

The second half started out a bit sluggish for the Bombers, as they allowed the only Haggis try quickly after the starting whistle. With that effort, the Bombers realized there was no reason to remain sitting managed to put up another 38 points behind Chris Schoeman and Preston Hammerschmidt's multiple tries. The defense did not allow any more points from the Haggis. Captain MJ Spangenberg earned Man of the Match honors behind a series of dazzling runs, including a nearly coast-to-coast run for a try off an intercepted pass. Final Score 76-5.

Next stop, Austin for the finals on May 17th-19th. The Bombers will be going up the Dallas Reds on Friday (17th) afternoon against the Dallas Reds.
