Bombers vs KC Blues report

The Bombers suffered their second loss of the season against the KC Blues this past weekend.

Tough, but mostly even play was persistent throughout the first 20 minutes until an unexpected and very questionable red card on #3 Corey Harmann put the Bombers at a one man disadvantage for the rest of the 63 minutes.

Without one of their starting props the Bombers struggled to stay on the same pace they had previously set, letting up 17 points on the day. A second dubious red card on #9 Matt Skarin and 2 additional yellow cards put the Bombers at a severe disadvantage throughout the second half, but that did not break them.

Scoring a try and holding the Blues to no more points while at their lowest numbers took true grit. Though they ultimately lost the match, if there was an award for most heart the 13 remaining men on the field would’ve earned it that day.

Schedule

The Bombers look forward to their next match, traveling up to Minneapolis for their rematch against Metropolis who have not let up their dominating streak since their first meeting a month ago. It will be a tough and cold match up North, but never-the-less the Bombers look to continue to improve in this league and upon the structure coach Watson is setting forth. And as always they continue to strive to Paint it Black.
